Keep the rib tips, they cook up just as well and are good eating. If you don't have a butcher, try Costco. We have actually placed in the top 5 in a couple of cook-offs with Costco ribs, they are a nice cut and usually quite lean. Now we move to the rub. Here's what you will need: 1/4 cup paprika 1/4 cup dark brown sugar 2 tablespoons black pepper 1 tablespoon salt 1 tablespoon celery salt 1 tablespoon chili powder 2 teaspoons garlic powder 2 teaspoons dry mustard 2 teaspoons cumin 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Mix this all together until it is completely blended. I usually just put it all in a ziploc and shake it until it is good and mixed. Wash and dry ribs with a paper towel. Place a generous amount of rub on the ribs, covering all areas on both sides. If I have time, I will leave the ribs in the fridge over night to soak up the spices.

Vampire Weekend's Debut Worth the Hype

Their lyrics provide a virtual tour of the life and education of the young and privileged, gleefully bounding from Cape Cod to campus, from sophistic grammatical references to the finer points of Beaux Arts architecture.

Sure, Vampire Weekend is effete, but it's ultimately charming. While its members clearly revel in their fortunate world, their name-dropping never gets too obnoxious, and it never obscures the emotional content of their songs. They make sense of how the thrill you get from seeing your crush walk to class is just about the same as discovering an obscure band that changes everything you thought about music.

If you long for the days when you were an annoyingly well-read, hyper-energetic college kid who geeked out over music and pop-culture trivia — or if you were never any of those things, but always wondered what it would feel like — this CD will feel as comfortable to you as a well-worn Ralph Lauren cardigan.

Moderator says anti-English bigotry is 'like sectarianism'

In perhaps the most controversial passage of her address, the Moderator urged people to think twice before making racially tinged remarks during sporting events."There is a thin line between banter and something which is more sinister," she said. "In Scotland, we have got used to football as a context for perpetrating sectarianism so I don't think we can pass off lightly anti-English remarks which are made during matches. It is too easy to dismiss this as healthy rivalry. It is not. "Caricatures that seek to diminish others that are barbed with prejudice and misinformation are not part of a healthy society. It is nobody's business to be disrespecting one another simply because they are English or Catholic, or whatever."The Kirk leader made her comments after taking part in the Moderator's annual visit to London.

Market latest: Australia

A US election year should also bring downward pressure.

OPEC countries recently called an extraordinary meeting in Vienna to debate targets and decided against lifting supply levels, citing the 10 per cent fall in oil prices. However, they also resisted cutting supplies. A global recession is not in the interest of OPEC countries so they are conducting a fine balancing act to maintain equilibrium.

Rain to ease food prices

A second positive is recent strong rains throughout Australia. This may rein in soaring food prices. However, this is likely to be short-lived. Grain inventories in the US have hit an all-time low as farmers divert food to bio-fuel production. Almost a third of this year's US grain crop is expected to be used for fuel and the price of grain is now tied to the price of oil – which as we noted may take a short-term breather.

Cancer treatment at RVH to expand; Radiation facility to open with new ...

A new era in cancer treatment is beginning at Royal Victoria Hospital.

The hospital is preparing to open its temporary radiation facility in April, and Dr. Juhu Kamra, a radiation oncologist from the Odette Cancer Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, has joined RVH's cancer care team.

The state-of-the-art radiation treatment facility, the first of its kind in Canada, features a linear accelerator, which will eventually be transferred to the RVH Simcoe-Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre. It is schedule to be open in 2011.

"It's going to have a profound effect on the people who are having treatment. It will minimize their travelling time and increase their convenience," she said, adding that if the treatment is closer to home, there is a greater chance patients will take it.

Gunfire too common to raise alarm in Memphis, Tenn., neighborhood ...

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Gunfire happens enough around Lester Street that neighbors often don't bother to call police. Now residents are wondering whether the shots they heard last weekend killed six people and critically wounded three other children.

Police did not offer a motive in the slayings on Wednesday, two days after the grisly scene was found inside a small brick house in the community known as Binghampton, where low-income homes sit near cheap motels and junkyards.

"I did hear shooting, but I didn't know where it was. Sometimes guys get crazy and just shoot up in the air,'' said Marie Mackey, 33, who was visiting her mother's house a couple of blocks away Saturday night. "If I had known, I would have called.''

Lt. Joe Scott, a top homicide detective, said the surviving children are witnesses and under police protection.

Jail bird: Ferocious goose terrorizes north Chico street

Unknown to her at the time, neighbor Nancy Kelly had already called Chico police for help.

Tambe said the bird would alternately lunge at the screen door, and chase any neighbors who came near her home.

When a neighbor distracted the bird, and was then chased by it, Tambe said she was able to get the garage door closed.

She said police showed up and initially tried to corner the goose in her yard, herding it with a broom.

"The goose didn't quite go in the direction we wanted," she said.

Eventually, Sgt. Linda McKinnon grabbed the bird .

Paul McCartney's long and winding road with Heather Mills is on the expressway to Overville.

Sir Paul has filed for divorce from Heather in what is expected to be one of Britain's most expensive breakups. In the papers, Paul -- who never made Heather sign a prenup to protect his $1.5 BILLION fortune (duh!) -- is said to call his soon-to-be ex both "unreasonable" and "argumentative."

Heather's mouthpiece, Phil Hall, issued his own statement saying that Heather is upset about the reports.

“Heather's going to be filing her own counterclaims about matters both in this country and America. She does not feel the need to repudiate claims that she may be headstrong or feisty. She is hugely disappointed that matters of such a confidential nature should be aired in public and feels it is inappropriate to speak about such delicate matters when a child is involved."

Way to bring baby Beatrice into this, Heather.
