| It’s official: Rockford lands Ireland flights
Twice-weekly flights between Rockford and Shannon, Ireland, will start June 26, according to Kenny Tours. The Maryland-based company signed a deal Thursday with North American Airlines to fly the route through Aug. 31, said Bob Nay, Kenny Tours' director of sales and marketing. The flights will be Thursdays and Sundays. Round-trip airfares start at $888, including taxes and airport fees. Six-night motor coach tours, including airfare and hotels, start at $1,489. Six-night bed-and-breakfast stays, including airfare and car rental, start at $1,489. The seasonal model is similar to Chicago Rockford International Airport's other international route, Apple Vacations' weekly flights to Cancun, Mexico, in the winter. But the Ireland flights will be on Boeing 757s with almost 200 seats, which would be the largest plane used on a regularly scheduled passenger route from Rockford.

MTN Milking Ghanaians Excessively
South Africa has one of the uppermost costs for mobile network operations in Africa, if not in the world. It is therefore not surprising that in less than six months after the takeover, the Ghana Government is asking Ghanaians to pay tax on talk time on the networks. MTN, being the principal mobile service provider in Ghana, is in league with the Ghana government is now positioned to milk Ghanaians for their selfish interest. I am aware that MTN was sent packing in a country within the sub-region. It is for this reason that in any country where the leadership cares about the welfare of its citizenry, they will do a diligent work by insisting on ‘value for money'. But in the case of Ghana, what matters most is the percentage the Minister, under whose orbit the operation falls, is going to get is of utmost importance.
Program's costs balloon as firms recruit clients
We have community fairs, friends and family days, and we do present our services to the whole entire community," Hopkins said of the company he started in 2001. "It's called community support, and we want the community to be aware." State officials now say that some clients of Hopkins' company -- and others like it -- don't need mental-health services. The state wants companies that broke the rules to pay back $59 million; it has demanded that Dominion repay $1.5 million. It's trying to stop the company from billing Medicaid, the federal health insurance program for the poor and disabled. Community support is a new service, born in 2006 as the state sought to move treatment out of government offices and into people's homes, schools, community centers -- places where they live.
Brett Hoffman: Hofstetter can't catch a break
If Brittany Hofstetter earns a berth in the National Finals Rodeo, it will be a big moral victory after all the Texas Tech senior went through as she bounced from rodeo to rodeo last weekend. There are only two weekends remaining in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association regular season. Hofstetter, 22, an agriculture communications major from Portales, N.M., rode into the weekend ranked 13th in the barrel racing world-title race and was on the bubble as she attempted to secure her first National Finals appearance. Only the top 15 in the PRCA world standings advance to the Las Vegas championships when the season concludes Nov. 11. However, Hofstetter endured two painful setbacks during her quest to lock up a spot in the elite 15. First, Hofstetter suffered a concussion during a practice session near Athens on Sept.
